Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why are we more expensive than other CSAs?
   
   Our smallest share is larger and offers a much greater variety than the shares offered by other CSAs in the Salt Lake area. We are also the only CSA (that we know of) that grows fruit: peaches, cherries, plums, apricots, melons, lots of berries, and more. Zoe's Garden grows over 500 varieties, many of which are heirloom. Your share includes many specialty items that you might find on restaurant menus, but that you're not likely to find in the grocery store: like scapes and specialty Asian greens. We also include a large variety of herbs in your share. Take a look at the list of our share items in past years to get an idea of what you can expect. 2. What day of the week and time will my produce be delivered?
   
   Days and times vary by location. See our list of pick-up locations.

3. Do I have to pick up my produce on the day of delivery?
   
   Yes, you will have a certain time frame for your pick-up location.

4. If I forget to pick up my produce, what will happen to it?
   
   It will get delivered to a local food bank or donated. There will be no refund for missed pickups. We don't want the food to waste or sit and rot. Members can call their drop point host (where applicable) and make special arrangements if running late.

5. What are your payment options?
   
   Beginning in January we offer multiple payment options to early subscribers through PayPal. These options consist of two or three payment plans at an early bird rate. These options expire at the end of April since we want the full subscription amount before the season begins and only one month remains prior to the season start in June. If you have additional payment questions, please contact us.

6. Can I upgrade or downgrade my share?
   
   Depending on availability, you can upgrade a share. Example: small to medium. However, we do not allow downgrades (e.g. medium to small). So if in doubt, it is always better to begin with a smaller share and upgrade if you desire later on, unless you want to be sure of getting the larger variety.

7. Can I make substitutions?
   
   No substitutions are allowed. If you have a small or medium share we will not substitute what you don't want for something offered in a larger share that you are not already getting. Please don't ask us to give you more of this or that, it is a large effort to customize shares.
